Vice President for Civic Sites & Initiatives

As Vice President for Civic Sites and Initiatives, Tony Cipollone oversees Casey’s efforts to incorporate the principles of our work in Atlanta and Baltimore, cities where the Foundation has extensive partnerships and investments as well as close hometown ties. During the past three decades, Tony has spent considerable time researching, evaluating, and writing about at-risk youth, school improvement, collaborative service delivery systems, and other youth and family issues. Immediately prior to joining the Foundation, he worked with states, cities, schools, agencies, and foundations to develop more effective approaches for working with disadvantaged kids, particularly those at high risk for dropping out of school. He holds a bachelor's degree in urban education and a master's degree in special education, both from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and earned his doctorate in administration, planning, and social policy from Harvard University.
