Kathleen Feely leads the Casey Strategic Consulting Group, which uses a team-based approach that combines the analytical practices of private sector consulting with Casey’s knowledge about reforming public systems that serve families and children. Kathleen has over three decades of experience in reforming public systems that serve kids and families. Her previous roles include deputy commissioner for planning and program development at the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice, where the case management system she designed won the Ford Foundation/Kennedy School of Government Innovations Award in 1986. Kathleen has also held positions at the Center for the Study of Social Policy and the New York City Mayor's Office of Operations. She has worked extensively in developing programs for juvenile and adult offenders in New York and New Jersey. She earned her master's degree in labor education from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Wisconsin.
