The Casey Foundation's approach to philanthropy includes both making grants and providing services directly to vulnerable kids, youth, and families. The goal of our direct services efforts is to make a tangible difference in individual children's lives as well as demonstrate that cost-effective foster care, family services, and youth services can contribute to improved permanence and well-being for disadvantaged children. Casey's direct services programs include:
Casey Family Services
Casey Family Services, the direct service agency of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, offers permanency-focused programs and services for vulnerable children and families throughout New England and in Baltimore, Maryland.
Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative
The Annie E. Casey Foundation and Casey Family Programs founded the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative to promote efforts helping former foster care kids with education, employment, health care, housing, and more importantly, linking them to supportive, permanent connections with caring adults.
School to Career
This program links youth aging out of foster care to good “first job” experiences with quality employers and provides ongoing case management to help them advance in the workplace, further their education, and develop critical life skills.
