Building “The Good Life”: Investing in Opportunities for Nebraska’s Families, Communities, and Economy

One in four families in Nebraska is low-income and struggling to make it in this difficult time. According to this report by the Nebraska Appleseed Center for Law in the Public Interest, Nebraska’s economy will only thrive in this economic recession and be able to compete with other states in the future if the state is able to create more opportunities for working families. As a result, this report calls for new efforts to promote the growth of quality jobs and bolster workers' skills through education.
