Bernardine Dohrn Honored by Juvenile and Family Court Judges
Bernardine Dohrn, professor of law and director of Northwestern Law School’s Children and Family Justice Center, was recognized by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges for her “Outstanding Contributions to Justice for Children & Families." The award was presented in Chicago at the National Council’s annual meeting.
“This is a well-deserved honor,” said Thomas Geraghty, director of the law school’s Bluhm Legal Clinic. “Bernardine's leadership in children's rights has been inspirational and effective.”
Dohrn is a tireless child advocate who teaches, lectures and writes about children’s law, juvenile justice, the needs and rights of youth, and international human rights. The Children and Family Justice Center is a children's law center and a national policy center.
