Dodie Ledbetter wins statewide award
Dodie Ledbetter

Arizona’s chief probation officers and juvenile court judges showed their high regard for Pima County Detention Director Dodie Ledbetter by voting her the Arizona Chief Probation Officer’s Association’s Supervisor/Manager of the Year for 2010.

Ledbetter was a key player in developing guidelines for a statewide risk instrument adopted by the Arizona Supreme Court’s Administrative Office of the Courts. The screening tool, modeled on JDAI policies, will be required of every detention center in Arizona by July 1, 2011.

“Dodie is a true champion for the fair and equitable treatment of all children who have contact with our juvenile courts. Her concern has always been the well-being of children placed in our care,” said Jesus Diaz, deputy director of court service in Pima County.

Ledbetter, a great supporter of JDAI, will receive her award at a statewide training conference later this year.
