All children need and deserve a family for life, as well as the highest quality of services that ensures, above all, their safety and well-being. But not all children in our country have these supports.

By making grants and providing direct services, the Casey Foundation is addressing the challenges in the child welfare system to ensure that all children, regardless of age, race, culture, national origin, sexual orientation, special need or complex circumstances, have lifelong connections to a caring, nurturing family.  More >>

Casey Family Services
Casey Family Services, the direct service agency of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, offers permanency-focused programs and services for vulnerable children and families throughout New England and in Baltimore, Maryland.

Center for Effective Child Welfare Practice  
Through the Casey Center for Effective Child Welfare Practice, Casey Family Services engages its own practitioners to provide technical assistance, consultation and training across the nation. The Casey Center shares lessons learned and promotes promising practice strategies related to achieving permanence for children and youth in foster care

Family to Family - Foster Care Reform
Launched in 1992, Family to Family is working to improve child welfare outcomes in 17 states by advocating for more children to remain safely with their own families or a family-like connection and by providing opportunities for redesigning and reconstructing foster care systems.

Casey Strategic Consulting Group combines private sector management consulting strategies with the Foundation’s system reform expertise to help improve outcomes for children and families by transforming the management and accountability structure, operations, and front-line practice of public agencies. 

Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative
The Casey Foundation and Casey Family Programs founded the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative to promote efforts helping former foster care kids with education, employment, health care, housing, and more importantly, linking them to supportive, permanent connections with caring adults.
