As the founder and executive director of StriveTogether, Jeff Edmondson built a network of communities committed to using collective impact to support the academic success of every child. Fixing America’s Foster Care System is Possible (Rafael López Talks How)


Rafael López has dedicated his career to improving the lives of children, youth and families at all levels of government and in the nonprofit community. In his newest role as managing director of Accenture’s health and public services practice, López oversees the company’s North American strategy in the areas of child support, child welfare, public assistance and public health practices.

Prior to joining Accenture, López worked as the commissioner of the Administration on Children, Youth and Families with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which has primary responsibility for the nation’s foster care system. He has also served as a senior advisor at the Office of Science and Technology Policy during the Obama administration, and as an associate director focused on leadership development for the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
