The Baltimore Summer Funding Collaborative consists of 11 organizations — the Abell Foundation, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Casey Foundation, Clayton Baker Trust, Family League of Baltimore, France-Merrick Foundation, Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation, Joseph & Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds, Lockhart Vaughan Foundation, Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds, Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation and Under Armour — that use a common application to fund high-quality summer programs that serve children in low-income families in Baltimore City. Please complete this application to apply for grants to support your summer program.
The application process will open on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017.
The common application allows organizations to apply for grants from all funders within the Baltimore Summer Funding Collaboraive. If you plan to seek funding for multiple and distinct summer programs, you must submit one application for each program. In addition, the online application portal only allows one application per registrant, so additional applications must be submitted under a different user.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017. Before you apply, please note the general eligibility requirements, as well as those specific to each funder.
The Baltimore Summer Funding Collaborative will prioritize summer programs that work to promote academic and social-emotional growth in children and youth; and are inclusive of students of all abilities.
Download the funder-specific requirements.
We encourage potential applicants to attend community forums on the grant programs and application process to ask any questions they may have.
The collaborative will post a list of frequently asked questions and answers on this page after the second forum.
