The Annie E. Casey Foundation

Essma Bengabsia is a senior investment analyst at the Annie E. Casey Foundation. She manages impact investments that seek to advance opportunity and well-being for low-income children and families in the United States. Ms. Bengabsia is also a Nneka Fritz Scholar at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service, where she specializes in social impact, innovation and investment.

Ms. Bengabsia is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper in the Global Shapers Community, a convening of young students and professionals who seek to drive positive impact in their local communities. In addition, she is a Board Trustee at The Muslim Network, an organization that builds inclusive communities across race, gender, age, disability and convert status.

Her favorite quote is, "But still, like air, I'll rise,” (Maya Angelou).
