Tykia Murray is a seasoned communications professional with more than a decade of experience creating, editing and managing digital content that advances organizational goals and engages diverse audiences. As a senior communications associate for digital strategies at the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Murray leads digital storytelling initiatives that elevate the Foundation’s mission and deepen its impact. She manages web operations and spearheads the development of high-profile campaigns, including the annual KIDS COUNT® Data Book, using digital best practices to continuously optimize user experience and engagement.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Murray served as a managing editor of digital content at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, where she directed editorial operations for global health communications and led an international team of freelance writers and editors. She has also held senior editorial and compliance roles at Angel Publishing and The Agora Companies, where she oversaw high-volume content production in the financial sector and implemented robust editorial standards and legal compliance processes.
Murray holds an MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore and a BA in Communications-Writing from Loyola University Maryland. She is Google UX Design certified and a member of The Communications Network and ACES: The Society for Editing.
