Casey's investments achieve results in three areas: impact, influence, and leverage. Accountability is crucial to success and judging efficacy.

The DC Public Charter School Cooperative has trained more than 300 charter school teachers to better serve students with special needs. The model has been replicated in at least 6 other jurisdictions, and the program is now funded by the DC Public Charter School Association as well as a $150K grant over five years from the district.

Foundations, Inc. in Philadelphia has assisted 33 of the 53 charter schools in the city with their application process. More than 500 teachers and administrators enrolled in Foundations' professional development programs Foundations' serves as financial advisor for four charter schools that received a combine $24 million in facilities loans.

In NYC, the Youth Development Institute (part of the Beacons Program) has expanded its original network of 12 centers to 80 centers. Beacons have grown to become a $40 million initiative in New York City alone. Participating youth were more likely to attend classes, avoid violent altercations, and engaging in criminal behavior.

In Indianapolis, 100% of the George Washington Community School's 2006 inaugural class passed the math portion of the state's Graduation Qualifying Exam. In 2004, KnowledgeWorks Foundation named GWCS as “one of the nation's best examples of a school as center of the community.”

In Atlanta, students are agreeing to attend school regularly, participate in summer programs, and graduate with a "C" average in exchange for guaranteed scholarship assistance for college. Project GRAD now impacts 16,000+ students and 1,200 teachers in 27 schools.
