This study draws on interviews with foster children and adults in four middle schools in the Bronx, New York, to better understand how being in foster care affects a child’s education and how the adults around these children can help them perform more successfully in school. Readers will find methodology for conducting the interviews, discussion about the findings and recommendations for helping these students succeed.
