Video Captures Promise of Southwest Atlanta’s Pittsburgh Neighborhood

A new video shines a light on southwest Atlanta’s Pittsburgh neighborhood, one of six communities that make up the city's Neighborhood Planning Unit V, the focus of our work in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Civic Site team began working with partners to stabilize and revitalize Pittsburgh after it was hit hard by the foreclosure crisis. Together, these partners acquired dozens of vacant properties. Several homes, some of which are highlighted in the video, have been rehabbed and are on the market. Residents new and old see great promise for their community, especially with plans to redevelop more than 50 more homes in the area over the next few years.
