The CBS Early Show interviews Laura Speer, associate director for policy reform and advocacy and KIDS COUNT national coordinator, on the sweeping change in the country’s race composition, with more than half of the children under age two being minorities. Speer comments that Americans will have to recognize that racial and ethnic minorities will become the U.S. majority by mid-century and that the 1950s Ozzie and Harriet” stereotypical family has vanished.
