2019-21 Fellowship Selection Process

Every three years, the Fel­low­ship accepts nom­i­na­tions and appli­ca­tions. The last appli­ca­tion process end­ed on Sep­tem­ber 7, 2018. The Foun­da­tion is not seek­ing Fel­lows can­di­dates at this time.

The Casey Foun­da­tion solicit­ed nom­i­na­tions for the Chil­dren and Fam­i­ly Fel­low­ship from a pres­ti­gious, nation­al net­work of orga­ni­za­tions and indi­vid­u­als who lead many of the most dynam­ic sys­tems, insti­tu­tions and pro­grams in Amer­i­ca today. This net­work’s wide spheres of influ­ence through­out the non­prof­it, pri­vate and pub­lic sec­tors unique­ly posi­tion them to iden­ti­fy the tal­ent­ed lead­ers sought by the Chil­dren and Fam­i­ly Fellowship.

Appli­ca­tion Review

The Fel­low­ship selec­tion com­mit­tee, com­posed of a diverse team of Casey staff, Fel­low­ship alum­ni and part­ners in the Foundation’s work, reviews all appli­ca­tions and rec­om­mends can­di­dates for fur­ther consideration.

Spe­cial atten­tion will be giv­en to can­di­dates with sig­nif­i­cant ties to the places, orga­ni­za­tions and areas of inter­est in which the Foun­da­tion invests. Per­son­al rec­om­men­da­tions are then sought and reviewed. The com­mit­tee selects a small num­ber of final­ists who are invit­ed to the Casey Foun­da­tion in Bal­ti­more for a series of inter­views and group activ­i­ties. Final selec­tion of Chil­dren and Fam­i­ly Fel­lows is announced fol­low­ing the interviews.

In-per­son inter­views held in Bal­ti­more, Mary­land. All can­di­dates are asked to hold these dates, as well as Feb. 4 for trav­el. Attend­ing the inter­views in per­son is required.
