Carol Abrams is a senior communications associate with the Annie E. Casey Foundation. She directs communications strategies to spur juvenile justice reform among decision-makers, influencers and the wider public. Within that strategy, she collaborates with subject matter experts to frame messages that are clear, compelling and persuasive — like this infographic, an explainer video and a narrative piece. She also trains others in communications planning and crisis communications.
Abrams leads the communications strategy for the Foundation’s leadership development programs as well, including its signature Children and Family Fellowship®.
Before joining Casey in 2016, Abrams held previous roles as chief communications officer for a museum, a public university and government agencies in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
