The Annie E. Casey Foundation is seeking suggestions of candidates and application submissions for its Rising Leaders for Results Fellowship — a leadership development program for emerging leaders ages 24 to 31. The Fellowship is designed for early career leaders with a commitment to promoting racial equity and pursuing results on behalf of children, youth, families and communities.

About the Rising Leaders for Results Fellowship

The Rising Leaders for Results Fellowship is a 21-month, multisession program designed to support people early in their careers. Through the Fellowship, participants deepen their leadership practice and build the skills, relationships and experience needed to meaningfully contribute to their organizations’ results.

The Rising Leaders Fellowship invests in emerging leaders by preparing them to powerfully take up and sustain their roles as results-driven, equity-focused leaders This Fellowship is grounded in Casey’s Results Count® leadership development approach and emphasizes applied learning. Fellows bring real challenges from their work into the experience, testing new approaches and applying tools and frameworks in real time.

What to Expect

The Fellowship program begins in November 2026 and ends in August 2028 and includes nine in-person seminars, virtual sessions and coaching by faculty, along with ongoing opportunities for reflection, learning and connection. While balancing the demands of their current roles, Fellows apply what they are learning within their respective home organizations.

Fellows also participate in a defined component of the Fellowship called Build Your Own Experience,” which provides a structured opportunity to engage in a specific learning or development activity aligned with their work and leadership context.

The Casey Foundation covers the cost of program participation.

Recommending Candidates and Who May Apply

The Foundation is looking for diverse, energetic early career leaders between the ages of 24 and 31 from across the country who desire to grow personally and professionally, especially those in communities where needs are greatest and resources are limited.

We recognize that these leaders are already working in nonprofit, public, philanthropic, and private sector roles, leading efforts, pursuing entrepreneurism, and building partnerships to advance change in their communities in pursuit of equity and justice.

Potential candidates must be submitted no later than June 22, 2026. Recommended candidates are then invited to complete a full application online, which must be submitted by July 6, 2026. Candidates are welcome to apply directly by the July 6 due date without being recommended. The application and selection process provides a variety of ways — written short answers, creative expression and, for finalists, virtual interviews.

Webinars for Prospective Applicants and Their Supervisors

The Foundation will host separate informational webinars for prospective applicants and their supervisors, respectively, as follows. Participants must have the full support of their employing organizations, and specifically of their supervisors, to use work time to participate in the program and to attend all seminars and other program activities. Both webinars will be recorded and shared with registrants.
